One of the major benefits of consuming banana chips is their fiber content. A 4-ounce serving contains 8.7 grams of dietary fiber — about one-third of the daily recommended fiber intake for women or 23 percent of the daily recommended fiber intake for men, according to the Linus Pauling Institute. Fiber prevents constipation, lowers your blood cholesterol and controls your blood sugar levels. Consuming a diet rich in fiber also helps prevent disease, including cardiovascular disease and some types of cancer.
Banana chips also serve as a source of iron, an essential mineral that benefits your health. Iron helps form hemoglobin and myoglobin, two proteins that provide your tissues with a fresh supply of oxygen. Iron also activates enzymes needed to support your metabolism, so that your cells can carry out the chemical reactions needed to produce energy. A 4-ounce serving of banana chips contains 1.4 milligrams of iron. This represents approximately 18 percent of the daily iron requirement for men or 8 percent for women, according to the Linus Pauling Institute.
Banana chips — like whole bananas — boost your intake of potassium. A 4-ounce serving of banana chips provides 607 milligrams of potassium, or 13 percent of your recommended daily intake, according to the NYU Langone Medical Center. Potassium, along with other minerals, such as sodium, controls your blood pressure levels. It also helps your nerves communicate, aids in muscle contraction and maintains your body’s fluid balance. Consuming banana chips helps to prevent the nausea, fatigue and constipation that can develop due to potassium deficiency.

We strongly recommend storing in an airtight (dark colored/opaque) container in a cool, dark environment like a pantry or kitchen cabinet, away from direct exposure to sunlight or excessive heat like an oven. The amount of times you open the container and let in the harmful effects of oxygen will only increase the likelihood of rancidity; thus we encourage you do not empty more than 1 pound of product at a time.
You can also put into Freezer Ziplocks (it should say “freezer” on box) and store in your freezer or deep freezer.
