Dark Chocolate Chips That Are Satisfying, Non-Dairy & Delicious!

Enjoy as a treat or in any recipe. The semi sweet cacao gives these dark chocolate chips a complex flavor. Compared to green tea, red wine, and many fruits and vegetables ounce for ounce, the cocoa in dark chocolate has greater flavonoid content.

Chocolate Availability Updates

We are making a limited quantity of this chocolate available as part of a small test to understand customer interest at the current price. This helps us determine whether we can sustainably offer this product going forward under today’s market conditions.

The price is higher than in the past due to significant changes in the global cacao market. Cacao costs have risen sharply as a result of supply shortages caused by weather challenges, crop disease, and reduced harvests in key growing regions. In addition, recent tariffs and import-related costs have increased the overall cost of sourcing chocolate products. These factors combined have made cacao and chocolate more expensive across the industry.

To manage availability responsibly, we will be releasing 50 (2 lb.) units for shipment on 01/09/2026. If these sell through as expected, we plan to release another 50 (2 lb.) units in the following weeks. Based on current supply timelines, we anticipate having access to larger quantities in early to mid-February, at which point availability may expand.

Note: 4 lb. units will not be available at this time.

These changes do not affect the product itself. By placing an order, the customer acknowledges and accepts this risk. Chocolate items are non-returnable and all sales are final.

Storage Recommendations

For the best flavor and freshness, we recommend storing your Gerbs in an airtight container in a cool, dark place such as a pantry or kitchen cabinet, away from sunlight and heat sources like the oven.

Each time the container is opened, oxygen sneaks in and can speed up rancidity, so try to keep only about one pound of product accessible at a time.

While Gerbs can be frozen, we don’t recommend it. Freezing and thawing can change the natural cell structure, which may affect texture and taste. Keep them cool, dry, and sealed tight for the best experience!
