How long will it take to get my package?

Once we have payment, we ship within 8-24 hours, and the average transit is 1-4 days depending upon the shipping location from our facility in Rhode Island.

Do You ship to Military addresses?

We support our Troops. Gerbs Ships to Military Addresses at reduced Postal Rates.

Do you ship Internationally?

Although our site does not currently offer International Shipping (other than Canada), you may contact us with a request.

What is your Returns Policy?

Follow these three easy steps to return your item for return or exchange. Please note, Gerbs will only accept returns on unopened, unaltered product in its original Gerbs factory sealed packaging within 30 days of receiving the goods from Gerbs. After this period, you will need to qualify for special circumstances based upon your unique case. Remember…Gerbs Foods are free of the 12 major allergens so cross-contamination issues in our facility is one of our highest concerns. Please do not attempt to return opened packages, they will be documented, photographed and destroyed.
Step 1:
Please make a copy of your original sales receipt and any email correspondence pertaining to this return and include these documents.
Step 2:
The customer assumes all return shipping fee’s back and forth to Gerbs. Box up your unopened merchandise. Please allow a minimum of 21 days for us to receive and process your return, depending upon your distance from our facility and the method of shipment. We’ll credit or refund the value of the merchandise total and any taxes you were charged (excluding delivery and handling charges).
ALL RETURNS MUST BE UNOPENED. ANY OPENED OR PARTIALLY OPENED PRODUCT WILL BE REJECTED AND if you choose, will be RETURNED TO YOU WITH ADDITIONAL SHIPPING COSTS. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Can I pick up my order at Gerbs?

Yes, all Gerbs products may be picked at our factory. At checkout, just select “Local Pickup” instead of other Shipping Options.

Warm Weather Ice Pack Chocolate Fee ends?

Getting melted chocolate in the mail is not fun. The Warm Ice Pack Fee will end most likely mid October.

Are your products ?

Although many of our products are indeed , we are not permitted to label them as such because we are still in the process of Full Certification.

Do your Dried Fruits contain chemicals?

All Gerbs Dried Fruits contain no chemicals and are Sulphur Dioxide Free, Potassium Sorbate Free, Sodium Benzoate Free and Sodium Nitrate/Nitrate Free.

How do I store your products?

If properly stored, Gerbs Food Products will stay fresh so that you can enjoy them for months. We strongly recommend however, storing in an airtight (dark colored/opaque) container in a cool, dark environment like a pantry or kitchen cabinet, away from direct exposure to sunlight or excessive heat like an oven. The amount of times you open the container and let in the harmful effects of oxygen will only increase the likelihood of rancidity thus we encourage you to not empty more than 1 pound of product at a time, and to enjoy at least 1-3 ounces per day for optimal health benefits. NOTE! You can also put Gerbs into Freezer Ziplocks (it should say “freezer” on box) and store in your freezer or deep freezer.

Difference between Kernel/Shelled and Whole/In-Shell Seeds?

Pumpkin, sunflower, and hemp seeds come in the shell or out of the shell. “In the Shell,” is commonly referred to as “whole.” “Out of the Shell” is commonly known as kernels or hearts. Whole hemp and pumpkin may be eaten in their entirety to increase fiber intake but may also be cracked open. It is not recommended to eat whole sunflower in their entirety as the shell is too tough for most to digest.

Does Gerbs offer retail products with a UPC code?

Currently, we do not offer bar code ready retail products. It is however, something we may consider in the future.

Do you offer Bulk Discounts?

Yes, we do offer Bulk Discounts on all Gerbs Allergy Friendly products depending upon the pounds ordered. You will see that during the ordering process.

Difference between Food Allergy and Food Intolerance?


• A FOOD ALLERGY occurs when the immune system reacts to a certain food. The symptoms typically include hives, swelling of the throat or tongue, nausea, and loss of consciousness.
• A FOOD INTOLERANCE is caused by an enzyme deficiency; it does not involve the immune system. Lactose intolerance is an example. A person with lactose intolerance lacks an enzyme that is needed to digest milk sugar. When the person eats milk products, symptoms such as gas, bloating, and abdominal pain may occur.

What are Food Allergy symptoms?

Symptoms include:
• Skin – itchy rash or hives, swelling, and/or eczema
• Gastrointestinal tract and/or swelling of the lips, tongue or mouth; itching or tightness in the throat; nausea; abdominal pain; Vomiting; and/or diarrhea
• Respiratory tract watery, itchy eyes; runny, stuffy nose; dry, staccato cough; tightness in the chest or shortness of breath; and /or wheezing

What is Anaphylaxis?

Anaphylaxis, a Greek word meaning “without protection,” is a severe allergic reaction that is potentially fatal. It is caused by food allergy, insect stings, medication, and in rare cases, latex. During anaphylaxis, a person may experience any combination of the symptoms related to food allergy. The symptoms will affect the entire body. The person may also experience a drop in blood pressure, loss of consciousness, or death.

Can a Food Allergy reaction be prevented?

Strict avoidance of the allergy-causing food is the only way to avoid a reaction. Reading ingredient labels for all foods is the key to maintaining control over the allergy. If a product doesn’t have a label, allergic individuals should not eat that food. If the label contains unfamiliar terms, shoppers must call the manufacturer and ask for a definition or avoid eating that food.

What type of Testing is performed to determine Food Allergies?

The skin prick test is the preferred method of testing food allergies. A RAST blood test is sometimes used instead. A negative result virtually confirms that the patient is not allergic to that food. However, a positive result only indicates the possibility that the patient will have a reaction upon eating the food. A food challenge test is often needed to confirm positive results.

Online Orders

At Gerbs Allergy Friendly Foods, most orders are processed & shipped out from our warehouse within 24-48 hours upon payment receipt. Standard UPS Ground packages will be received within 1-5 business days depending upon your location from Gerbs in Rhode Island. Although most online orders process and deliver within 3 to 5 business days, please allow up to 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. When checking out, please specify a physical street address. UPS will not deliver to P.O. Boxes.
